Hope Museum Hope's history as a fur trading post and gold-rush town is kept at the Hope Museum. Native artefacts and early logging equipment are exhibited along with a blacksmith shop, school, kitchen and parlour. Maple Ridge Museum & Archives Built in 1907, this museum sits on the waterfront in Port Haney. Learn about the local history and geography, see stone tools and cedar baskets from First Nations' ancestors and other items from Japanese and Finnish ancestors. Pictures and documents shed some light on local people and businesses. Artefacts show that early settlers were farmers, fishermen, loggers and brick-makers. Pitt Wildlife Management Area Pitt River meets Pitt Lake at the Pitt Wildlife Management Area. From late Fall to early Spring bird watchers will be pleased with what they see here. Chilliwack Museum Find out more about Chilliwack's agricultural heritage and history, beginning with exhibits about the Sto:lo people. The museum is located in the former City Hall, the town's only National Historic site. Hours for the museum are Monday to Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 11 am to 3:30 pm.
