    Mission Museum
    Located in the downtown core, the Mission Museum follows the history of the town beginning with the arrival of the first peoples. There is information about St. Mary's Mission, the arrival of the train and many artefacts from early settler's. Different types of tours are offered for children and adults.

    Fraser River Heritage Park
    Visited regularly by residents of the area because of its beauty, this park often hosts community activities including weekly concerts in the summer. The historic ruins of St. Mary's Mission and Indian Residential School is located here as well. A gift shop and restaurant are also part of the attraction to this heritage park.

    Hope Museum
    Hope's history as a fur trading post and gold-rush town is kept at the Hope Museum. Native artefacts and early logging equipment are exhibited along with a blacksmith shop, school, kitchen and parlour. The museum is open from May to September and admission is given in the form of a donation.

    Maple Ridge Museum & Archives
    Built in 1907, this museum sits on the waterfront in Port Haney. Learn about the local history and geography, see stone tools and cedar baskets from First Nations' ancestors and other items from Japanese and Finnish ancestors. Pictures and documents shed some light on local people and businesses. Artefacts show that early settlers were farmers, fishermen, loggers and brick-makers.

    Pitt Wildlife Management Area
    Pitt River meets Pitt Lake at the Pitt Wildlife Management Area. From late Fall to early Spring bird watchers will be pleased with what they see here. At the north end of Pitt Lake, Goose Island has a waterfall and aboriginal rock painting to see. Call the Pitt Meadows Chamber of Commerce for information.

    Xaytem Longhouse Interpretive Centre
    Experience the culture, history, archaeology, and spirituality of the First Nations' people. Xaytem shares the history and culture from the Sto:lo (people of the river). Story telling, visits to the Transformer Stone and school programs are some of the offerings.

    Pitt Meadows Historical Museum
    The first inhabitants of Pitt Meadows were aboriginal people around the year 1005. There were a lot of changes for Pitt Meadows after this and some of this history can be found in the museum.

    Chilliwack Museum
    Find out more about Chilliwack's agricultural heritage and history, beginning with exhibits about the Sto:lo people. The museum is located in the former City Hall, the town's only National Historic site. Hours for the museum are Monday to Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 11 am to 3:30 pm. The museum offers several programs for students and many publications for teacher's resources. There is a small gift shop as well.
